| Is the U.S. Forest Service trying to purchase Sierra Colina? |
No. Since 2005, the U.S. Forest Service has repeatedly confirmed verbally and in writing to Sierra Colina and to TRPA that it has no interest in purchasing the Sierra Colina land. As recently as August 2008, the U.S. Forest Service again confirmed at a TRPA Governing Board hearing that the Sierra Colina parcel is not on any U.S. Forest Service current or future parcel acquisition list.
