Is it true Sierra Colina plans a majority of the 18 acre parcel as open space?

Yes.  Through a proposed land conveyance to Douglas County of approximately 10+ acres, Sierra Colina intends to create an open space area to be preserved that will include the entire sensitive stream zone inside Sierra Colina as well as additional forested land outside the boundaries of the stream zone.  There is no TRPA Code requirement for Sierra Colina to create this large preserved open space.
