| What special status plants or wildlife are observed on Sierra Colina? |
Numerous biological resources studies and surveys have been conducted on the Sierra Colina parcel in 2006, 2007 and 2008 (see “Links” DEIS for details and expert reports). All studies conducted over the past 3 years in conformance with professional scientific protocols standard to the respective areas of biology and botany confirm no special species animals or special status plants (as defined in the TRPA Code) have been observed inside the Sierra Colina parcel. The proposed Sierra Colina Village plans to maintain the existing indigenous plant mix to the extent feasible to provide native landscaping around the future homes.
